UPDATE: I am at capacity and no longer looking for models. Feel free to get in touch if you’re interested in doing a paid shoot, and keep an eye out for my next call for models!
I’m itching to do more portrait work, and would like SPECIFICALLY to expand the number of fat people, trans people, and male-identified people in my portfolio. This is only for people living in, or travelling to, the SF Bay Area.
We can shoot you naked and/or clothed. We’ll do a “trade” shoot so I get to use your photos in my portfolio (you get to nix any you don’t want public), and you get to use the photos however YOU want for FREE!
Email me at mlmweinert at gmail dot com if you’re interested, and check out my portfolio on this website, on facebook, or on Flickr for examples of my work.
I can’t accommodate EVERYONE, so email me quickly before I fill up (I’m also going to prioritize getting a diverse range of people scheduled- so I may not be able to offer you a free sitting if I’m already working with a bunch of people who look like you).

Book your holiday photo shoot with Naked Eye Photography NOW!
Photos of you or your family are not only awesome in your holiday or New Years cards, but are also GREAT holiday gifts!
And if you book your shoot between now and January 15th, I’ll donate $20 to Sister Penny’s medical costs fundraiser. I’ll also be travelling to the Pacific Northwest at the end of December- if you live in Seattle or Portland and want to shoot with me, now’s the time to book something!

I’m so excited to announce that I’ll have work in the Center for Sex and Culture’s first juried show! And I get to share a gallery with some of my favorite SF photographers: Patti Beadles, Sonia Lei, and Shilo McCabe. Below is the official press release:
Doing your Dirty Work: a Sampler of Contemporary Art About Sex
August 3rd-September 1
Artists’ Reception Friday August 3rd, 6-9 pm
Center for Sex and Culture
1349 Mission Street, San Francisco
Despite San Francisco’s reputation for a sexually frank and diverse culture, art dealing with sexuality is as marginalized here as anywhere. The theme of our first juried show is much the same as the mission of the CSC gallery; to provide a space for work that addresses sexuality and sexual identity and upholds a high standard of artistic merit.
Doing Your Dirty Work aims to stand as evidence that art about sex is every bit as valid, complex, compelling, beautiful, ugly and sophisticated as art ever is. Our call for submissions, expressing this simple notion, generated hundreds of responses from seventeen countries. Many, as expected, were submissions from artists whose sexual work is excluded from their otherwise successful careers. Many were from artists whose careers are limited by the sexual content of their work.
We have selected work that runs from comical to carnivorous and from haute to hairy. Like The Center for Sex and Culture itself, there is something for almost everyone.
Dorian Katz, Curator
Doing Your Dirty Work includes work by: Scott Andrew, Rocky Angel, Patti Beadles, DeAndre Britton, M.C. Carolyn, Sapira Cheuk, Rob Clarke, Tyler Cohen, Paul DeRuvo, George Dinhaupt, Katrina Eaton, Sydney Hardin, Michael Hecht, Angus Henderson, Kerry Kelly, Lisa Kereszi, Julienne Kopel, Sonia Lei, Maria Llopis, Jon Macy, Kate MacDonald, Shilo McCabe, Edith Meijering, Kenney Mencher, Brittany Neimeth, crystal am nelson, Mitsu Okubo, Emmett Ramstad, Jason Talley, Karen Thomas, Jason Watson, Christopher Udemezue, Valentina Venturi, Danny Volk, Morgan Weinert, Anselm Wether and Lena Ambrose, Tyger Yoshi and Alec Joseph Bates, Adam Zucker

The closing party for “Fear No Art” is coming up on October 30th! It’s a show with work by me and about 14 other artists! Click on the image below for a list of all the participating artists, and more!
FEAR NO ART Closing Party
Sunday, 10/30/2011 from 2-5 pm
At Mark Chester’s studio, 1229 Folsom Street

Starting in November 2010 and extending through July 2011, I will be donating 20% of the money made from any of my photography clients directly into my AIDS Lifecycle fundraising (www.aidslifecycle.org)!

AIDS Lifecycle is 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. I’ve dedicated the next few months of my life to training and fundraising for what will certainly be the most challenging, and rewarding, 7 days of my life. I’m dedicated to working towards finding a cure for HIV and AIDS, but need your help to reach my $5,000 fundraising goal. And now you have the chance to get some sexy new photos AND help me out!
Can’t hire me as a photographer right now, but still want to donate to the cause? Visit my page at http://www.tofighthiv.org/goto/mo. No amount is too small!

Join Karma Pervs now to gain access to exclusive photos of Jiz Lee taken by me and other amazing photographers! This month, all the money made will go to benefit where I work: Lyon-Martin Health Services! As a warning, the photos are not safe for most people’s work, but are more in the category of “artistic nudes” then “hardcore porn” (although that’s all a matter of opinion, I’m sure!)
A few months ago I photographed my friend Jiz Lee in their old bedroom. It was a very silly, relaxed shoot. I took some photos of them rolling around in bed, still fuzzy from sleep. Everything about the shoot was natural- the lighting, the lack of makeup, and the energy in the room.
The photos we took together are for Jiz’s amazing new project called Karma Pervs. Every month, Jiz posts a new photo set on their membership site. All of the money raised that month goes towards a different non-profit! So far, organizations like Stop AIDS and SFSI have benefited. This month, its Lyon-Martin!
The experience was delightful, and I’m thrilled with the photos that came from the experience. Jiz is a fabulous model to work with and an amazing friend!
The New Naked Eye is up and running! Save for a few photo additions in the next few weeks, the update is complete!
Naked Eye Photography has gone through about 3 or 4 website incarnations since I started it seven years ago. I’ve finally left behind my elementary html website for a more dynamic look powered by Wordpress. Now my site will be easier to update and easier to browse.
