About the Photographer

I fell in love with photography and music at the same time. The night I saw my first concert was the night I vowed to get 'closer' to the music in some way. And only a year later, that way emerged: Concert photography.

I've probably taken thousands of concert photos since I was 13. In that time I've photographed both small, local bands and internationally famous bands. I started my first business, Darkside Photography, at age 15. I soon began doing portrait photography, and opened a second arm of my business that I called the Lighter Side. As I got older and became more serious about photography, I decided to consolidate the two 'arms' of my business and streamline my website. The result is what you see now: Naked Eye Photography.

Now I am a student at UC Berkeley, but I still keep photography as a priority in my life. I've had the oppurtunity to continue concert and portrait photography, but I've been lucky enough to expand into photographing burlesque shows, dance performances, erotic portraits and much more.

Photography to me is capturing the essence of a moment in time. I believe a photograph has done its job when it evokes an emotion in its viewer.
